Roy F. Baumeister is a Professor of Psychology at Florida State University. His main research interests are: the self, social rejection, belongingness, sexuality, self-control, self-esteem, self-defeating behaviors, motivation, and aggression, but most primarily consciousness and free will. He is an author of  nearly 500 publications. In 2003 he was named was named an ISI highly cited researcher.
